Is skincare important in makeup application?Skincare plays a crucial role in makeup application. Proper skincare helps create a smooth, hydrated canvas for makeup, allowing it to apply more evenly and last longer. When your skin is well-prepped with cleansing, moisturizing, and any necessary treatments, makeup adheres better and looks more radiant. Additionally, using products suitable for your skin type can help prevent issues such as dryness, oiliness, or irritation, ensuring that your makeup looks fresh, not cakey, and lasts throughout the day.
-
What is a good skincare routine for makeup application?A good skincare routine for makeup application focuses on hydration and creating a smooth canvas. Here’s a simple routine to follow: Cleanser: Start with a gentle cleanser to remove any impurities without stripping your skin of its natural moisture. Exfoliation: Exfoliate 1-2 times a week to slough off dead skin cells, but be cautious not to overdo it, as this can irritate your skin. Toner: Use a hydrating toner to prep your skin and balance its pH. Look for ingredients like hyaluronic acid or glycerin. Moisturizer: Apply a hydrating moisturizer suitable for your skin type. This step is crucial, as it helps plump the skin and create a smooth base for makeup. Sunscreen: If you're applying makeup during the day, don't forget a broad-spectrum sunscreen to protect your skin. It's also important to discontinue the use of retinols and any drying ingredients leading up to your makeup application, as these can cause flakiness, cakiness, and irritation. A hydrating routine is key to achieving a fresh and flawless look. A hydrafacial with dermaplaning is also recommended 3-5 days prior to makeup application.

Do I need extensions?Whether or not you need extensions depends on your desired look and hair type. Hair extensions can add length, volume, and versatility to your hairstyle, making them an excellent option for brides looking to achieve a specific style or enhance their natural hair, especially for styles like glam waves. If you have fine or thin hair and want a fuller look, extensions can help create that desired effect. Additionally, if your hair is shorter and you want to achieve a longer style for your wedding, extensions can provide that length and drama. However, if you’re happy with your natural hair and it can achieve the look you envision, extensions may not be necessary.
